Building a Bender Tent

Bender Tent Stage 1

Collect some hazel wood branches. Hazel wood is straight and bendy. Decide the shape and size you want. It could be round or sausage-shaped. A round shape gives you more room.

Make holes in the ground for the sticks. You can choose to cover the earth floor.

Put hazel sticks into the holes and bend them over to meet together in the middle. Tie them up with string. One branch bent right over to the other side would be enough for a small bender.

Bender Tent Stage 2

Choose a place to put a stove.

Bender Tent Stage 3Weave more hazel branches in and out of the frame which is shaped like an 'n'. This will strengthen the sides and stop the tarp from falling through.
Bender Tent Stage 4

You pick up the tarp and put it over the bender. You tie the tarp down to the frame with string. You cut a hole in the tarp toput the stove chimney through. You must put foil or something fireproof down the side of the tarp.

Bender Tent Stage 5

Not all benders have windows.

You can now out what you want inside.
