The Strategic Planning Group has been formed from the merger of the Capital Strategy Team, School Organisation and CYPS IT Strategy.

We hope you find this site useful and easy to use, but if there is anything you feel needs to be included please tell us and we will do what we can to update the site.

The Strategic Planning group within Devon’s Children & Young People’s Services Directorate (CYPS) provides strategic leadership on School Organisation, the Capital Programme for investment in school building and the Information Technology infrastructure that supports the work of the Directorate and its many internal and external partners. There are many exciting opportunities and challenges in the work of the group in meeting local needs and supporting national objectives. The opportunities for schools to adopt Trust status, the Local authority’s responsibility to promote diversity and choice, supporting the work of the Children’s Trust and others and planning for the Building Schools for the Future and Primary Capital programmes will all require new approaches to commissioning and the delivery of services.
