Devon County Council, on behalf of its schools and the schools within Torbay Council and members of the Devon Procurement Partnership, wishes to receive expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced service providers. No more than 10 providers for each service but preferably more than 5 will be invited to the second stage of the selection process. From this, a maximum of 5 providers for each of the service areas listed below will be selected for a 4 year framework agreement which will commence on 1 April 2008.
The award criteria will be the most economically advantageous tender.

Both Devon and Torbay have a good range of in-house service provision and a policy to expose these to competition in order to generate choice for its schools.
What are we doing?
The Alternative Portfolio identifies for schools providers who can offer work to at least the same standard as current in-house services.
In September 2006 a first tranche of alternative provision was offered to schools, covering Caretaking & Cleaning provision, Media & PR services, Web Design and Supply Teaching.
