Fair Processing Notice from Autumn 2008 until further notice

The Fair Processing Notice (FPN) has been rewritten yet again by the Department for Children, Schools and Families and will need to be reissued in the Autumn Term as it contains important information about parents’ information.  From then on the new FPN will form part of your admissions process.

Please download the set of documents (3 in all) listed under your school type.  You will need to edit these to include your school details: name, address etc

• The explanatory letter gives details of what you need to so
• Layer one is a summary of the FPN and must be sent to all parents and also to pupils in year 7 and above
• Layer two (the full FPN) must be made available to parents (and pupils where applicable).  This can be on your school website or via this website (for schools without their own website) but must also be available as hard copies for those without web access.

Special Schools will need to issue layer one – Primary to parents of pupils of Primary school age and layer one – Secondary to parents and pupils in Year 7 and above.
