Start Bay Centre
The Start Bay Centre is located near the village of Slapton, in the South Hams, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, one mile from the sea.
The Centre is housed in a converted Victorian School, and offers self catering, fully centrally-heated accommodation for up to 37 people, all year round. It is set in its own grounds, with a large garden and safe play area.
We offer ‘sole use’ accommodation only, which means that groups can be assured of privacy, and have exclusive use of all areas and facilities.
The surrounding area and coastline offer spectacular scenery and a wide range of opportunities for educational programmes, exploration and relaxation.
The Centre is open and accessible to all, and is particularly suitable for schools, youth and community groups, as well as private groups and functions.
At the Start Bay Centre, we offer a range of outdoor and environmental educational programmes and activities, linked to the National Curriculum.
