The Dartmoor Training Centre has a beautiful setting on the banks of the West Dart.  Accessible by private road (Grid ref: SX 626738), the centre offers a peaceful location with the open moor right on the doorstep.

The Centre sleeps 45 in two dormitories, plus 3 smaller rooms each sleeping 2 or 3.  There is a fully equipped kitchen and large common room/dining room with dining tables and benches and ample seating.  The common room has a wood burner creating a warm and cosy atmosphere even on the most wintry of days.  There are toilet and shower facilities throughout the building.

Outside there is approx 4 acres of fenced private grounds, there is ample parking for cars and minibuses, and a host of Dartmoor fauna and flora from Otters to House Martins.

The centre is offered as self-catered but we can also provide a fully catered service if required.

Outdoor Learning activities are offered by our own team of skilled Outdoor Education Tutors along with specialist partner providers such as Dartmoor National Park Rangers and Guides .  We offer a range of programs that have been developed over recent years in partnership with visiting groups.  We think these reflect the needs of groups and offer value for money whilst having clear outdoor learning aims.

The Dartmoor Training Centre is available to hire for Schools, youth or community groups and other organised groups.  During the Summer Term and busier periods we ask groups to also book one of our Outdoor Learning programs.  At other times you may book just the accommodation or accommodation and activities.
