Situated in the fine Grade 1 listed building at Queen Anne's Walk on Barnstaple's historic riverfront. Barnstaple Heritage Centre awaits, ready to reveal the town's rich and vibrant past to you. Step inside this quality visitor attraction and embark upon a fascinating journey through the major periods of Barnstaple's history. The story is told through an exciting combination of visual and audio effects and information. Visitors come face-to-face with key figures such as an Elizabethan Town Clerk, a Medieval Mayor and a Tudor Apothecary! From the North Devon Link Road (A361), follow the signs to Barnstaple town centre. Proceed along The Strand from the square, and you will find the Heritage Centre on the left beside the river.
