Graduate Schemes
Devon County Council would like to welcome graduates who have an interest in working in the public sector. If you are a graduate there are two schemes that may be of interest to you:
In-house Graduate Programme: A two year programme that develops graduates in a range of disciplines. The options may differ each year depending on long term succession planning requirements. The full two-years will be based in one department, gaining skills experience and a post-graduate qualification specific to that department as well as a broader understanding of the authority through Corporate graduate events and courses. The expectation is that by the end of year two the graduates will succeed in gaining a permanent position within the department and then move into middle-management within 5-10 years.
Graduate Business Partnership: A paid 20-week project based placement scheme for recent graduates. Please note we will advertise any opportunites on Exeter University Website. We cannot place graduates at their own request.
Undergraduate Partnership (Shell Step): Paid project based placements for 8 - 13 weeks during Easter or summer holiday periods. Please note we will advertise any opportunites on Exeter University Website. We cannot place graduates at their own request.
