Jamie Lewis - ICT

"I completed my apprenticeship in the IT Server and Network team, where I carried out a variety of tasks including the configuration of Nortel and Cisco equipment, and the deployment and maintenance of Wi-Fi. During my two years on the scheme, I attended a number of training courses and completed an apprenticeship qualification in ICT. In September 2009, I successfully gained a permanent job on the IT Service Desk where I provide frontline IT support to the whole Council.

I have enjoyed my time on the apprenticeship programme and one of the highlights was when we completed a volunteering challenge for Willowbrook School in Exeter. As a group we had a lot of fun creating a large mosaic for the entrance of the school and we received positive feedback from the Headteacher, governors, and school children."
