Active Members

Exeter Weir

An active member is someone who is working and paying into the Local Government Pension Scheme.

  • Your Annual Benefit Statement.

Each year we send scheme members an annual benefit statement image - PDF icon (8KB - pdf help). This shows the job you are in and length of time as a scheme member, the value of the benefits to date and the estimated value of benefits when you reach 65.

  • Death Grant

If you die while still working and paying into the LGPS, a death grant is paid that is 3 times your actual salary at the time of your death. You may choose to leave this sum to one or a number of people or organisations. Download and complete the Expression of Wish form.

A death grant may be paid up to the age of 75. If it is, the amount paid will depend on each member’s individual circumstances.
