Opening days:

The Rural Skip service is available at Colyford Road Car Park on the following dates:

Every Saturday (except Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day) 10:00am - 4:00pm

Acceptable materials

  • Bulky household items
    e.g. Garden waste, furniture, carpets, flat glass (if broken, securely wrapped and marked)
  • NB Fridges/Freezers may be accepted at Rural Skips (not Dartmouth), however it is preferable that they are taken to a Recycling Centre.  Similarly household electrical equipment (large/small domestic appliances) should be taken to Recycling Centres.

  • Rubble/hardcore, soil and general DIY/construction waste: 12 large bags/0.5 tonnes in 6 month period

  • Plasterboard image - PDF icon (63KB - pdf help)
  • Tyres
  • Gas bottles
  • Household chemicals (e.g. pesticides, white spirit, bleach, old medicines, oil-based paint)
  • Asbestos
  • Commercial/trade waste
  • Food
  • Sharps/clinical items
  • Animals/animal bedding
  • Fluorescent tubes
  • TV/computer monitors

Travelling northwards out of Seaton on the Colyford Road go past the football ground on the right. Soon afterwards, opposite Westwood Way turn right along a track adjacent to the St John Ambulance Depot. The skip is placed on the right in the depot.
