Restricted

  • Rubble/hardcore, soil and general DIY/construction waste: 12 large bags/0.5 tonnes in 6 month period
  • Plasterboard image - PDF icon (63KB - pdf help): 2 sheets/"rubble sacks" per household per month
  • Tyres: 5 in 12 months, preferably separated from rims
  • Household chemicals (e.g. pesticides, white spirit, bleach, old medicines, oil-based paint): 5 litres in 12 months
  • Fluorescent tubes: 5 in 6 month period
  • Asbestos acceptable by arrangement only, see Asbestos for further information

Non-acceptable

  • Commercial/trade waste (green waste and cardboard acceptable at certain Recycling Centres by arrangement only, see Trade Recycling)
  • Food: acceptable at certain Recycling Centres by arrangement only, please contact your local district/city council in the first instance
  • Sharps/clinical items: please contact your local district/city council
  • Animals/animal bedding

Non-acceptable waste is chargeable at Deep Moor landfill site 01805 623496 and Exeter Transfer Station 01392 666420 via a weighbridge.

From the town centre travel eastwards towards Exeter along East Street and Exeter Road, after approximately one mile turn left into Exeter Road Industrial Estate.  Take the next right into Hambledown Road, then left into Merrivale Road, and the site can be found at the end of the road.
