Public Exhibition and Consultation

The consultation, included contact with all interested parties, landowners, environmental agencies, societies, etc. as well as a mobile exhibition held at various locations round the estuary in November 2004 and the establishment of this Devon County Council website. Visitors to the exhibition and website were encouraged to complete a questionnaire to enable the County Council to decide if the proposal was supported or whether there needed to be further work carried out in finding an acceptable solution.

Responses to the consultation were reported to the County Council Executive on 9th April and 8th November 2005 at which they approved details of the route to be taken forward through the relevant statutory procedures, with a view to construct within the Local transport Plan period 2006 - 2011
