Definitive Map Review

Parish of Tawstock

The Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 requires the County Council to keep the Definitive Map of public rights of way under continuous review and to make modifications where it appears that routes should be added, regraded or deleted.

A review of the Definitive Map is currently being undertaken in Tawstock. There was a public meeting in the parish in 1995 and one suggested change to the Definitive Map was proposed. A second public meeting was held on 17th March 2004.

Maps showing existing rights of way with the suggested change to the Definitive Map and details of two recorded cul-de-sac routes, with notices, are available for inspection during office hours at Barnstaple Local Service Office, Civic Centre, Barnstaple, telephone 01271 388486 and the Public Rights of Way Section, Lucombe House, County Hall, Exeter, telephone 01392/01271 382856, at Holywell CofE Primary School office, Tawstock, or by clicking on the links below.
