DEFINITIVE MAP REVIEW OF PUBLIC RIGHTS OF WAY
PARISH OF BIGBURY
The Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 requires the County Council to keep the Definitive Map of public rights of way under continuous review and to make modifications where it appears that routes should be added, amended, regraded or deleted. A review is currently being undertaken in the Parish of Bigbury.
Schedule of suggested changes:
- Suggestion 1: Addition of a public footpath as a continuation of Footpath No. 5 to New Quay (also known as Hexdown Quay).
- Suggestion 1a: Addition of a public footpath continuing from New Quay along the foreshore to Footpath No. 6 at Cockleridge Ham.
- Suggestion 2: Addition of a public footpath along Cleveland Drive to Folly Hill, connecting with a spur from Ringmore Drive.
- Suggestion 3: Diversion of Footpath Nos. 10 & 12a.
- Suggestion 4: Extinguishment of part of Footpath No. 12.
