Waste Local Plan

Waste Local Plan Inquiry

Objections to the First Deposit and Re-Deposit Versions of the Devon County Waste Local Plan were considered at an Inquiry by an Inspector appointed by the Secretary of State.

The arrangements for the Inquiry were discussed at the Pre-Inquiry Meeting on 31 October 2005. Notes of this meeting can be downloaded below, together with the Inquiry Programme.

The Inquiry commenced on 10 January 2006 and closed on 9 February 2006. Following closure of the Inquiry, the Inspector will submit his report, including any binding recommendations for amendments, to the County Council. It is anticipated that adoption of the Local Plan will occur in early Summer 2006.

A Programme Officer has been appointed to handle administrative arrangements on behalf of the Inspector, and her contact details are contained in the notes of the Pre-Inquiry Meeting.

Please note that the period for objections to the Waste Local Plan to be made has closed, and that the Inspector will not be able to consider any further objections.

If you need any further information on the Waste Local Plan, please contact the Minerals and Waste Policy team on 01392 383233 or 383280, or by e-mailing wasteplanning@devon.gov.uk.
