Devon County Council has commissioned an assessment of the county's aggregate mineral resources consultant geologists.  This assessment considers a wide range of aggregate resources that occur in Devon and that have the potential to be worked in the future, and will provide robust evidence in the development of the Minerals Core Strategy.  In particular, the assessment will inform choices on the future pattern of aggregate extraction and the safeguarding of mineral resources from sterilisation.
