Volunteers Day

There is no charge for this event

Why not join our growing army of Conservation Volunteers on the last Sunday of every month between September and April. Tasks are varied and all tools are provided. No special skills are needed - just bring along lunch and old clothes.

Rhododendron Removal

Date: Sunday 25th September

Time: 10am - 4pm

Join us as we tackle an area of rhododendron in the lower wood to benefit Stover's dormice and woodland butterflies.

Marshland Management

Date: Sunday 30th October

Time: 10am - 4pm

Spend Halloween removing willow and alder scrub from the marsh to benefit Stover's summer dragonfly species. Wear wellies!!!!!!!

Grassland Management

Date: Sunday 27th November

Time: 10am - 4pm

We will be cutting, raking and burning last years herbage in preparation for the Spring. This will benefit flowering plants and butterfly species such as the pearl-bordered fritillary.
