Opening days:

The Rural Skip service is available at Canaan Way Car Park on the following dates:

Acceptable materials

• Bulky household items
  e.g. Garden waste, furniture, carpets, flat glass (if broken, securely wrapped and marked), household electrical equipment
• NB Fridges/Freezers may be accepted at Rural Skips (not Dartmouth), however it is preferable that they are taken to a Recycling Centre
• Garden/green waste

Restricted materials

• Rubble/hardcore, soil and general construction waste: 12 large bags/0.5 tonnes in 6 month period

Non-acceptable materials

• Tyres
• Gas bottles
• Household chemicals (e.g. pesticides, white spirit, bleach, old medicines, oil-based paint)
• Asbestos
• Commercial/trade waste
• Food
• Sharps/clinical items
• Animals/animal bedding
• Fluorescent tubes
• TV/computer monitors

From B3174: After entering Ottery St Mary, take the first left after the bridge. The skip is located in Canaan Way car park.  

From Ottery St Mary town square, go down Mill Street and at the T-junction turn right.  Canaan Way car park is on the left after approximately 200m
