- Household chemicals (e.g. pesticides, white spirit, bleach, old medicines, oil-based paint): 5 litres in 12 months
- Fluorescent tubes: 5 in 6 month period
Non-acceptable
- Commercial/trade waste (green waste and cardboard chargeable at certain Recycling Centres by arrangement only, see Trade Recycling)
- Food: acceptable at certain Recycling Centres by arrangement only, please contact your local district/city council in the first instance
- Sharps/clinical items: please contact your local district/city council
- Animals/animal bedding
- Asbestos: acceptable at certain Recycling Centres by arrangement only, see Asbestos for further information
Non-acceptable waste is chargeable at Deep Moor landfill site 01805 623496, Exeter transfer station 01392 666420 and Heathfield landfill site 01626 853522 via a weighbridge

From Ilfracombe town centre take the A399 towards Combe Martin, at the traffic lights turn right into New Barnstaple Road. The site can be found on the left after approximately three quarters of a mile.
