The Waste Local Plan was adopted in June 2006, and remains part of the statutory Development Plan. Devon County Council will prepare replacement Waste Development Documents that will, when adopted, supercede the Waste Local Plan:

• Waste Core Strategy
• Waste Development Control Policies and Site Allocations
• Waste Audits and Waste Infrastructure Supplementary Planning Document

Priority will be given to preparation of the Core Strategy, which will contain the strategic objectives and core policies that will provide a context for the remaining documents, and to the Supplementary Planning Document.
