The Adopted Plan was published on 25th June 2004 but, with the exception of 57 of its policies and the Proposals Map that illustrates these policies, lapsed on 27 September 2007.
The full text of the Minerals Local Plan as originally adopted is available below.
The Proposals Map shows the location of mineral sites within the plan area. These are considered in greater detail within larger scale Inset Plans.
There are 45 Inset Plans showing the location of Active Sites, the extent of their planning permissions, Mineral Consultation Areas, and where appropriate, Buffer Zones and Areas of Mineral Resource. There are 10 Inset Plans showing existing wharves and rail head facilities. A further 57 Inset Plans show dormant planning permissions where the County Council wishes to remove the possibility of their re-opening by the service of Prohibition Orders.

The Proposals Map
(642KB - pdf help) has been highly reduced in order for it to fit onto a Acrobat(PDF) document. It is recommended that the map should be “zoomed” to between 100 and 200% in order to view specific parts of the map. The area of each Inset Plan (quarries and existing wharves and railhead facilities) is shown coloured brown with red reference numbers or letters. Prohibition Order Inset Plans are shown coloured blue with blue numbering .
