The Land Charges office is responsible for the updating of the Common Land and Town or Village Green Register including amendments to the Register and the registering of new Town or Village Greens within Devon. In addition Common Land and Village Green searches are received on a daily basis direct from Solicitors and Licensed Conveyancers. These are completed and returned to the applicant within 3 working days.

Common Land and Town or Village Green searches are £14 each (statutory fee) plus £1 for any additional parcels of land. If a letter or commons search is to be faxed we charge an additional £11.75 (including VAT).
