Devon Area Action Force
The Action Force is now chaired by Jeremy Filmer-Bennett of Devon and Cornwall Business Council, with the support of Karen Hooper of Jobcentre Plus, and is administered by the Devon County Council. The following are the terms of reference for the Devon Area Action Force and reflect national guidance. The DAAF is tasked to:
- Respond to the anticipated increase in redundancies and company closures as a result of the current threat to employment
- Ensure the response to redundancies and closures across the sub-region is coordinated proactively with relevant partners sharing information to avoid duplication of effort and to maximise resources
- Develop a coordinated approach to informing and identifying those companies and public sector organisations and individuals who are most at risk and deploying relevant resources in a proactive, pre emptive way
- Feed back information and intelligence to regional and national partners to influence future service delivery, resources and policy development.
