From 1 April 2007 Exeter became the Devon Register Office as the Registration Service in the Devon County Council area now operates a 1 Registration District system.  Each of the remaining 7 former Devon County Council Register Offices is now a Registration Office.

Pedestrian access to Castle Street is off the High Street, by McGaheys, Tobacconist & Coffee Shop and the Register Office is to the left of Michael Spiers, Jewellers in Castle Street.

This building is fully and easily accessible and is adjacent to Rougemont Gardens.  Two Ceremony Rooms are available - a well appointed main Ceremony Room catering for up to 40 people and a further smaller room for more intimate ceremonies.
