As the big day approaches, there are a number of things which you and your partner may need to organise including:

• ensuring any items you may have chosen to enhance your ceremony in the form of music and readings have been discussed with the civil partnership registrar and the person who will be performing them
• meeting the civil partnership registrar in advance to discuss the ceremony and pay the necessary fees
• arranging for two people to act as your witnesses
• photographic and video requirements
• flowers - Ceremony Rooms at Registration Offices will have flowers on display but these may not be available at an approved premise
• transport to and from a venue
