Holdings: the archives of the Dean and Chapter of Exeter which are held in the Cathedral Archives survive from Anglo Saxon times to the present day.  The Cathedral Archives holds documents concerning the Cathedral itself, the building and its staff.  It also holds records of property, formerly owned by the Dean and Chapter and the Vicars Choral in Exeter, which was in scattered locations throughout Devon and Cornwall.  The property holdings also included a few estates in other counties.

A professional librarian or archivist is on duty during your visit to provide help and advice, and produce library and archive material for you.  However, when planning your visit, it may help you to note that the archivist is usually available Mondays to Thursdays, and a librarian is usually available Wednesdays to Fridays.
