Market Town Focus

Lynton and Lynmouth

The stretch of coast overlooked by Lynton and occupied by Lynmouth is a spectacular combination of sweeping moorland, high rugged tree clad cliffs and enticing sheltered bays. In a rapidly changing world, Lynton and Lynmouth and the whole Exmoor area still remain, in many respects, as they have been for centuries. An area noted for its high cliffs and hills for walking, quaint cottages, views, and access to the inner wilderness of Exmoor with its deer and ponies. Hollerday Hill has its goats and buzzards. Lynmouth a harbour, Cliff Railway, sea air, Rhenish Tower, boats and challenging surf. There is fishing for salmon and trout.
