It is one of many such bodies across Northern Devon, all of whom are developing plans for their parish or town. These plans form a key part of the Sustainable Community Strategy for North Devon and also influence the Devon Sustainable Community Strategy http://www.devonsp.org.uk/sustainablecommunitystrategy/index.html

Led by the Town, District and County Councils to improve quality of life for residents, visitors and those who do business or work here. The Alliance is keen to work with all those who want to play their part in building on past successes and equipping Barnstaple for the future.
