The Department for Transport will hold a meeting at the end of May at which the shipowners representatives will present their salvage options to SOSRep Robin Middleton.

Patching work is continuing, although damge in hold number 6 has been found to be too severe for patching and repair.

Some residual oil was lost from the vessel on Sunday.  Salvers suspect it may have come from a patch that had come loose and was since replaced.  As a consequence a small amount of oil and sheen has been reported at sea, which is expected to break up and disperse naturally, with some oil ashore at Chesil Cove.  Contractors on the shore line have responded to these reports.
