From the MSC Napoli Response Centre
As reported yesterday, all the containers have been removed from the vessel. The last of the containers are being transferred to Portland Port for cleaning and processing.
There is no change to the condition of the ship. Patching work is continuing.
Skimming of oil is continuing from within the hull.
There are no new reports of oil or containers at sea or onshore.
SOSRep Robin Middleton is looking at a number of options for disposal of the vessel including dismantling in its current location or to dismantle the stern and refloat the bow to be towed to an onshore site for recycling. Another option for consideration is for the vessel to be towed to a deep sea location and sunk, although this would require a number of permissions before it would be deemed acceptable
