Psychometric Testing
Psychometric testing is a psychological assessment used in the workplace. It can be used for existing staff for career guidance, team building, performance management, training and development or counselling purposes and can be used for all levels of employment and for a variety of job types.
It can assess a candidates strengths and weaknesses and provide you with an accurate and objective profile of their suitability to a position.
The type of assessment falls into two main areas which are:
- Personality questionnaires which measure a person’s work style preferences.
- Ability tests which are tests designed to measure a persons’ capacity in certain key skill areas.
The assessments:
- Provide a standardised testing system now commonly used to monitor all applicants equally in order to be reviewed objectively.
- Provide important additional information about an applicant within a short space of time, from which to base an appointment decision or to identify individual training needs.
- Are specifically chosen to match the vacancy, ranging from basic clerical positions to advanced managerial roles.
- Are conducted by fully trained staff, who can administer the tests and feedback the results to both the applicants and the appointing panel within the same day.
Our fully trained and licensed psychometric practitioners can advise you on a range of materials to best suit your individual requirements.
