The Finance and IT Directorate has a key role to play in helping the Council make the best use of its financial and technological resources and skills. Our work involves promoting resource strategies and providing high quality professional advice and systems to support delivery of the Council’s services in a sustainable, inclusive and cost-effective manner. Devon Direct Services (DDS) is the business unit within the Directorate who operate a commercially competitive service, seeking to ensure best value for schools, colleges and offices throughout Devon and Torbay.

Devon Direct Services is the main contractor for Catering and Cleaning services to County Council schools, colleges and other premises and is the main catering contractor for Torbay Council. They also maintain the schools crossing patrols service.

Devon Finance Services is the County Council's finance support unit who provide high quality financial management support, information and advice to Members and Officers of the County Council.

Devon Information, Communication and Technology Services (incorporating Devon Design & Print) provide a full range of quality ICT and media services to Devon County Council and other public sector customers.
