A NEW North Devon Bus map is now available from Devon County Council providing residents and visitors with details of the main local bus services in the area.

It includes town maps of Ilfracombe, Bideford and Barnstaple as well as details of all daily buses in North Devon.

The County Council asked people for their views on the content and format of a number of maps and their opinions have helped form the final version.

The map is a manageable size and includes full colour town maps. Bus services that continue outside of the North Devon area have also been continued in a 'tube style' format at the edge of the map to show their full extent.

Councillor Margaret Rogers, Devon County Council Executive Member for Environment, said: "The map is a completely new initiative and has been printed in response to comments received during public consultation. The information is a very useful source for anyone planning to use public transport to travel to work or for days out."

The North Devon Bus Map is available from a number of outlets in the North Devon area including Tourist Information Centres, Post Offices and libraries.

The map and frequency guide are intended to give a general guide to buses in the area. For full details pick up a copy of the North Devon Bus Times, which includes timetables for all bus services in the area.
