Plans to improve Fore Street, Kingsbridge

From Pam Newby, Exeter 383654, November 20,2007

Proposals to improve Fore Street in Kingsbridge go on show next week.

Devon County Council officers are to stage an exhibition of the plans at Kingsbridge Town Hall (Reel Cinema) in Fore Street on Thursday, 29 November from 10am to 8pm.

The proposals are designed to improve access to public transport by building four courtesy crossing points to enable people to walk from pavement to pavement without having to drop down to the level of the road. They also include widening the narrow footpath from the junction with Mill Street up to the bottom of the hill.
