South Hams Villages get spring clean

From Claire Woodward, Exeter 383290, July 17,2008

Three villages in South Hams will benefit from funding provided by Devon County Council.

All Devon County Councillors have a community fund to help organisations within their wards.

Bickleigh and Wembury County Councillor John Hart, has given £1000 to each of the following parishes: Shaugh Prior, Sparkwell and Cornwood.

"These three parishes work as a cluster for many things. And by pooling this money, they feel that they can improve and tidy up their villages." said County Councillor Hart.

"I am delighted to help these very rural villages, help themselves in organising improvements that the parish councils feel very important and want to get done to enhance their villages."

Cllr Hart can be contacted on 01752403554.
