I have been elected as a County Councillor for the electoral division of Holsworthy Rural. I intend to serve the interests of all residents, regardless of political persuasion.

I am, however, a member of the Liberal Democrat Party and take an active interest in a number of national and local campaigns. It would not be appropriate for me to use this website to promote these campaigns though you can visit related external websites by selecting some of the links to be found on these pages.

I am married to Marjorie and have two children.  I was elected to Devon County Council in 1997 and am also a Torridge District Councillor and Member of Holsworthy Hamlets Parish Council.

I am also a Governor at Holsworthy Community College, and a member of North Devon Economic Partnership and of Beaford Arts.  It was my interest in politics that inspired me to become a Councillor and I am particularly interested in the environment and rural development.

My Priorities/Objectives

To develop the Ruby Country Initiative and the completion of Ruby Way Cycleway.
