  • To act as an advocate for and represent young people's needs to all of the agencies they come into contact with.
  • To work alongside other agencies, where appropriate, to help young people with the difficulties they are facing in their lives.

The Link Scheme:

The Link Scheme offers a one-to one befriending service for young people between the ages of 10 and 17 who may be experiencing difficulties at home or at school. It provides trained volunteers who spend time with their 'Links' on enjoyable social activities giving the young person individual attention on a weekly or fortnightly basis. The volunteers will be focusing on specific issues to help the young person.

The scheme is reviewed every 3 or 6 months to monitor progress and needs of the young people.
