Training Programme

SUBSTANCE USE AND YOUNG PEOPLE

Trainer: Drug and Alcohol Action Team

Aims and Objectives: the course will include:

  • The exploration of personal and societal attitudes towards young substance misusers
  • Increasing participants’ awareness of issues which young people face that can put them more at risk of substance misuse
  • Helping participants to understand risk and protective factors for young people
  • An introduction to using a screening tool and local services for young people

Dates: TBA

Times: 2 day course 9 am – 3.30 pm

Venue: Various venues across the county.

Maximum number for this course:  There are 2 spaces available for foster carers. This is a multi-agency course, please note that the arrangements have not been finalised.
