Training Programme

SEXUAL HEALTH AND RELATIONSHIPS

Trainer:  Positive Action South West, Devon NHS Primary Care Trust, Devon Teenage Pregnancy Partnership

Aims & Objectives: By the end of the session the participants will be able to:

  • Understand sex and relationship issues for young people
  • Update their knowledge on sexual health policy and practice
  • Explore values and attitudes about sex and relationships
  • Build their confidence to work with young people about sex and relationships

This is a 4-day course

Dates: Thursday 24th April, 1st May, 8th May and 15th May 2008

This course will be repeated in October ’08 and January ‘09

Time: 9.30 a.m. – 4.30 p.m.

Venues: Exeter, TBA

Maximum number for this course: we have 2 places for foster carers on this 4-day multi-agency course.

This is a multi-agency training programme which provides a good opportunity for carers to train alongside teachers, health professionals and other social care staff. Carers will need to commit to both days if they wish to attend this course. If you're offered a place, it's essential that you attend.
