Aims and Objectives of the course:

• to inform carers of their roles and responsibilities as ‘corporate parents’
• to help carers provide a safe and caring home for children and young people in care without compromising their own family relationships
• to assist carers in their understanding of the legal requirements of foster carers, and in keeping children safe
• to help carers to work within Devon’s policies and guidance
