Aims and Objectives:  By the end of the session participants will be able to:

• Be aware of vulnerability and protective factors in creating a health environment.
• Understand the foster carer’s role in promoting health care.
• Understand the new process for health assessments.
• Know who does what and where to go for information and advice about health issues.
• Gain greater understanding of health issues which might affect children or young people e.g. immunisation update including Hepatitis B for carers, asthma, bed wetting, smoking, stress, healthy eating, preventing obesity, sexual health.
