Course Aims & Objectives
Aims
- To minimise the risk presented to those experiencing domestic violence and abuse.
- To demonstrate the essential nature of the need to assess risk on an inter-agency basis.
- To develop a countywide response in assessing risk by having a consistent approach for identifying risk factors and maximising safety for victims/survivors.
Objectives
- To understand the need for victim focused Risk Assessment.
- To be able to carry out an effective Risk Assessment within all agency roles.
- To know what to do with Risk Assessment in particular with reference to the MARAC (Multi Agency Risk Assessment Council) process.
- To demonstrate the link between Risk Assessment and Child Protection.

One Day (9.00am – 4.30pm)
