Music with Mummy is a 3-stage music programme that offers musical experiences for children 0-5 years. Classes for all activities are kept deliberately small and are friendly and fun. Music with Mummy (M) is for children age 1-3 years approx and their special adult and is a lively structured approach to music. It combines singing, percussion and movement whilst introducing early music concepts. Jolly Babies (J) is specially designed for babies age 0-1 year. It offers first musical experiences with gentle activities for baby and adult. Jolly Babies offers first musical experiences for babies aged 12 weeks to 1 year. Classes are limited to a maximum of 8 babies in a session which lasts for 30 minutes. Sessions are carefully structured for young babies to start quietly, building to a stimulating middle section and then slowing to a calm ending. Only one new song is introduced each week to encourage repetition, continuity and security. The classes encourage early social skills, bonding between baby and parent and early speech development as well as fun and making friends for baby and carer. |

The Westbank Gymnastics Club is open to children of all ages, from “walking” upwards. The Club provides a fun, safe, progressive, physical and body conditioning activity with some fantastic Gymnastic skills being learnt along the way! Sessions are run by Penny Scoynes, who is qualified at Senior Club Coach level in General Gymnastics and at Club Coach level in Pre-school Gymnastics. The Club and its coaches are registered with British Gymnastics – the National Governing Body. There are also volunteer assistants that help at the sessions. Charges are £3.00 per session paid termly in advance, with a discount for siblings. There is also a yearly subscription charge to British Gymnastics of £15 per child, (£7.50 for Pre-school children) for insurance purposes. This charge is payable on joining and then renewable each September. |
