All libraries have computers - why not come along and use one? They’re great for projects, finding info, or just having fun, and you get a free half hour every day! You will only be able to use email or chatrooms on a library computer if you are surfing the net with an adult. Here are some tips to help you: don’t give out information about yourself, like your address or telephone number or picture or even your school.
Don't open emails from people you don’t know, and don't reply to messages that make you feel uncomfortable - tell your parents.
Don’t give your password to anyone - not even your best friend.
Never agree to get together with someone you meet online.
If you want to save your work, you will need to use a floppy disk. If you don't have a disk, you can buy one at the library counter.
You will have to pay for any printouts you do. Remember colour ones are much more expensive than black and white!
