A HUGE Well Done goes to Emma, Emilie and Fenella for entering Teignmouth Library's World Book Day Quiz. Emma and Emilie were joint winners with Fenella winning the runner up prize.

Title: Spy Dog

Lara was a special dog. Lara was chosen to be a spy dog by Professor Cortex of the British Secret Service. She helped crack a drug smuggling ring, but the baddie who was called Mr Big escaped.

Lara then went to the RSPCA dog home to wait to be rescued. She was chosen by the Cook family - Ben, Sophie, Ollie and their parents and gran.

Lara had a few adventures with the Cook's. The Secret Service were looking for Lara, but so was Mr Big because he wanted to kill Lara for revenge.

When the family went on holiday to Devon. Lara rescued a drowning boy in the sea and went on national TV news. Mr Big now knew where to find Lara.

Mr Big went to kill Lara, she tried to escape by driving the Cook's car to the police station but Mr Big shot Lara five times.

In the end Lara got better and was allowed to stay with the Cook's. Mr Big got arrested.

I liked 'Spy Dog' because the author put lots of details in and it was funny in parts.

Book title: Igraine the Brave by Cornelia Funke

I got this book from the library and was so fascinated by the front cover, I couldn't wait to read it!!

Once I got my nose into it I could not get it out! This is my favourite line; "I'm going to be twelve tomorrow, Sysyphus. Twelve! and I haven't had a single real adventure!"

There's loads of magical things like the Gargoyles, that eat all the bombs, swords and arrows. The Lions, that warn if any enemies are coming, and the Wizard, who is always being the bossy boots!

It's a very kind story, but it's also about fighting, magic and fun!

The main character is obviously Igraine The Brave. She has black hair and blue eyes. She loves to wear shiny armour.

Her red lips are as red a roses and she has a pet called Sisyphus. Igraine lives in a castle with shining armour, comfy cushions and lots more! "Go on ....Read it!"
