Library members of all ages are important to us and we encourage parents to bring their children into the library from birth onwards. With this in mind we have a range of services specially designed for our youngest members, and with the emphasis on FUN.

Baby Bounce and Rhyme sessions are held in many libraries across the county and are much appreciated by children and adults alike. They are recognised by education professionals as a vital first step towards reading.

Pre-school story times are old favourites in many libraries and give toddlers an opportunity to experience a variety of stories in a different setting from home.

Among our newest ventures is Baby Book Crawl, which is guaranteed to get even the youngest members of the family hooked on books, with a set of bright and colourful posters to collect, rewarding babies and toddlers for their visits to the library.
