Hi there! Did you have fun during the school holidays? I did! After I’d picked up my Team Read medal, I went to stay for a few days with my Nanny Gruffs who lives up North. Even though she’s really old and a bit old-fashioned, she’s actually quite cool. (If Mum knew how many biscuits and chocolate drops Nan gave me, she’d go mad!) Anyway, staying with Nanny was great for two reasons – it gave me a few days away from Maxine (my pesky little sister!) but best of all she took me to some really cool places. My favourite was her local dinosaur museum. (Man those bones are huge…it would take you a week to gnaw through one!) In the evenings she told me lots of interesting stuff about when she was little and about her Mum and Dad. It made me realise that history isn’t just about the stuff you learn at school… we all have our own history! Now that’s really cool!
