UKonline Centres

The world of communication, information and e-commerce offered by the Internet is the world of the future, and it is open to you...

This is the promise made by UK online - a major government initiative aiming to ensure that everyone has access to the Internet.

All Devon's libraries are now approved UK online centres.

For you this means the opportunity to learn to use the Internet or send emails in a friendly, non-confrontational atmosphere.

Once you have mastered the basics you will be able to access a world of information and explore the opportunities that new technologies offer such as enhanced learning or updating life skills.

So if you’re unsure about using computers, worried about trying the Internet, or would just like to have a go with no strings attached, why not contact or drop in to see us today?

We can help you start developing the skills to use the Internet straight away by offering 1 hours free use of the BBC Webwise CD-ROM, and some libraries also run special "taster sessions" for beginners throughout the year - please check with Your Local Library to see what's on offer, and help yourself to the Internet!
