THE NEWTON ABBOT READING GROUP:

Newton Abbot Reading Group was formed in September 2002. Initially we had about 16 members and a small waiting list, but the group has now settled down to a regular 12 members.

It is run on fairly informal lines with a lot of humour, good nature and friendship.

We normally choose 2 titles a month, members read either one or both, mostly fiction but we do include non-fiction where there is an interest.

We have occasional author talks and an outing to Dartington's Way With Words.

THE WEDNESDAY GROUP:

The Wednesday group is a new reading group at Newton Abbot library. We currently have 8 members. New members are very welcome.

So far we have read the following books:

  • In Lucia's Eyes' by Arthur Japin
  • Keeping Mum by Brian Thompson
  • The Gardens of the Dead by William Brodick
  • The Other Side of the Bridge by Mary Lawson
  • Lucia, Lucia by Adriana Trigiani
